Here you will find a mixture of rough and cut gemstones for making beautiful jewellery and other adornments. 

Gemstones which are transparent are normally faceted, this shows off the stone's interior by reflecting light which the viewer sees as sparkles. Stones which are more opaque such as opal, turquoise, quartz etc.. are cut as cabochons.
